For Restaurateurs
A local hotel recently fell foul of the Council's Hygiene Rating due to the disclosure of information relating to a vomiting bug . Not a pleasant subject is it? Well, it wasn't pleasant for the Wedding Party who fell ill after picking up the bug either.
This hotel's Star Rating of 5 took an immediate nose dive and all because standards of hygiene were neglected according to the Council's Inspection Report. It doesn't really matter what the explanation for the dreadful event was, the management of the hotel cannot undo the harm it has caused it's reputation in the short term, and who knows what the long term prognosis is?
So, please do the right thing and continually keep training your staff, old and new, in food hygiene awareness.
You have embarked on your life-long ambition to open a restaurant. There are only so many hats you can wear at the same time. It is obvious to you that the success of your venture relies to a large extent on the way your team of people work together. You do not want a ‘Kitchen Nightmare’ or a ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ situation unfurling before your eyes. So before you launch your new eatery you want your staff trained to be the best they possibly can be at delivering service to the customer. You want them to serve your customers with the same first-class standards of service that you demand when you choose to eat out.
HACCP training is a critical part of the functioning of a restaurant. It is not just the chef’s team that need this skill’s training, so too do the ‘front of house’ people.
Give your team the opportunity to succeed not fail: give them 'on-the-job' training. Call in a PBS consultant to work through these issues with you and let us design a suitable training plan which will meet all the mandatory needs of HACCP.
The success of your restaurant venture stands or falls on the quality of training that you deliver to your workers. I have personal experience of training and developing strong teams within the hospitality industry and I can bring those years of experience to assist you.
