What you need is a strategy for managing your email, and that might well mean managing multiple accounts. The recommendations I make here involve a combination of things:
- Setting up a Master Account
- Routing multiple accounts through to your Master account

Why a Master Business E-mail Account?
My recommendation is to use an email account attached to your business domain. That way your business branding is reinforced. Gavin@electricians2go.biz is far more professional than Gav@hotmail.com Everything else you might use e.g. Hotmail, Google, Yahoo or others can be worked into the suggested plan. From this account you can nominate which email address to choose for the outgoing address: this is quite possibly different in different circumstances. You can always hang on to one unique account for all your personal mail: this becomes the inner sanctum as it were.
Route all other mail accounts
Using the settings within your other subsidiary mail accounts you can route copies of each email to the Master Account. Gathering everything in one place allows easy sorting techniques. Rule setting is simplified. Mobile access to mail is child’s play.
